Before a dosing system is planned or designed, reliable statements on technical feasibility are required. In our initial trials, we evaluate how your medium behaves in the intended application – with a focus on doseability, application accuracy, and reproducibility.
At Walther Systemtechnik’s technical centre, we create practice-oriented conditions to precisely assess the interaction between the medium, application method, and process parameters. Whether point application, bead application, or surface coating, the objective is a stable, safe, and technically transparent dosing process.
Why initial trials are crucial: Not every viscous medium can be dosed without difficulty. Viscosity, thixotropic behaviour, temperature dependence, or stringing can influence the discharge pattern and repeatability. A structured initial trial makes such effects visible at an early stage – before they lead to quality issues in series production.
Through systematic testing, we obtain robust data for selecting suitable components, designing the valve technology, and defining valid dosing parameters. This creates a solid foundation for a solution precisely tailored to your application – technically sound, documented, and transferable to later use.
What we test – and how
The trials are carried out using your original medium and, where available, on original components or carriers. In combination with suitable conveying, conditioning, application, and control components, we examine, for example:
Discharge volume
per cycle
Dosing pattern and edge definition
Dripping behaviour and run-on
Influence of material temperature and pressure
Reproducibility under series production conditions
Depending on the task, different material supply systems, application valves, and, if required, automation components are used. The results are documented, evaluated, and, if desired, transferred into a subsequent feasibility study.
