Nozzle extensions for dispensing and application valves - Precise solutions for a wide range of applications and hard-to-reach areas

Nozzle extensions are used in dispensing applications for the precise application of liquid and pasty media such as greases, oils, adhesives and sealants. They can be used to adjust the application pattern and reach hard-to-reach areas that cannot be completely covered by standard application valves.

Walther Systemtechnik offers a comprehensive range of nozzle extensions to suit different dispensing requirements and application geometries.

Variants with different tube diameters and lengths enable use in complex production environments, even in confined installation conditions.

All nozzle extensions are custom made and 100% tested to ensure the highest quality and reliability.

Product Overview and Technical Features

Nozzle extensions from Walther Systemtechnik are available in pipe diameters from 2.5mm to 13mm and lengths from 36mm to 1,000mm. They are mounted directly onto the valve nozzle and are available in two versions.

Inlet-sealing nozzle extensions

The application valve is still opened and closed by the valve nozzle and the valve needle. This prevents the medium from flowing into the valve outlet and retains the medium so that it does not run into the nozzle extension.

Outlet sealing nozzle extensions

This extension has its own valve needle which extends to the tip of the nozzle, sealing the material flow there and preventing overflow. The nozzle extension, also known as a needle seal nozzle extension, is characterised by its design ...

This minimises dead space where material can accumulate - an advantage with curing media. Sealing directly at the outlet enables fast, accurate dispensing even in demanding conditions such as tight installation situations, overhead applications, vibration and short dispensing intervals.

All nozzle extensions can be ordered with an indexing option. This allows the nozzle to be quickly and reproducibly aligned, ensuring optimum application results every time.

Types, application shapes and materials

Nozzle extensions are available in a variety of types and application forms to meet a wide range of dispensing requirements. Depending on the type and shape, they are suitable for specific applications such as targeted coating of hard-to-reach areas, radial internal wetting of bores or hollow bodies, segmented or full-surface media application.

Our nozzle extensions are designed to withstand thermal and chemical loads. Stainless steel nozzle extensions offer high corrosion resistance and long life, while brass versions provide a cost optimised solution for many applications.

Highest quality and reliability

All nozzle extensions are supplied with a test report documenting compliance with quality standards and technical specifications. The report provides detailed information on the dimensional accuracy, tightness and functionality of the nozzle extension tested during production. It is not only used for quality assurance, but also provides an important reference for process optimisation, especially for applications requiring high precision.

Packaging and Paper Industry

Profile head nozzle extensions for release agent application: Profile head nozzle extensions are used to apply release agent precisely and evenly to paper and packaging materials. The specially shaped nozzle distributes the release agent evenly, preventing the material from sticking to machine components and ensuring smooth further processing.

Mechanical Engineering

Segment nozzle extensions for lubricant application: In mechanical engineering, segment nozzle extensions are used to apply lubricant to moving components. The segmented structure distributes the lubricant only to the relevant contact surfaces, reducing wear and extending component life. This precise application ensures uniform lubrication even in complex assemblies.

Stainless steel nozzle extensions offer significant advantages in demanding environments such as the food and pharmaceutical industries due to their corrosion resistance and temperature stability and are suitable for applications with high hygiene and resistance requirements.
