Medium Switch (2/2-Way Outlet Valve) - WGV-22-T
The WGV‑22‑T medium switch is designed for applications requiring the targeted distribution of viscous media such as greases or oils. It is particularly well-suited for dosing, lubrication, and delivery systems with multiple consumption points or variable return lines.
The medium switch features an electrically actuated 2/2-way outlet valve in T-configuration with one central inlet and two lateral outlets. In its default position, the central flow axis is open; the lateral outlets are spring-loaded and either open or closed depending on the version. Switching the valve position expands the flow to include the lateral branches in addition to the central path.
The integrated outlet valve is electrically controlled via 24 VDC – with no pneumatic assistance required. This makes the WGV‑22‑T suitable not only for pneumatic-free system concepts, but also ideal for fast and space-saving retrofitting into existing conventional fluid and dosing systems.
The WGV‑22‑T is rated for use with greases up to NLGI grade 2 and oils in ISO VG classes 10 to 68. With a switching time of 50 to 60 milliseconds and a maximum flow rate of 20 liters per minute (based on NLGI 2), its integrated outlet valve supports highly dynamic processes with excellent repeatability. The permissible operating pressure is up to 200 bar. The housing complies with protection class IP65, providing reliable protection against dust and water jets – ideal for demanding industrial environments.
As part of the Walther MODULAR system, the WGV‑22‑T can be quickly and reliably connected to additional functional units via a standardized module connector set.
