Medium Switch (2/2-Way Stop Valve) WGV-22
The WGV-22 medium switch is designed to release or block the flow of viscous media. It features a 2/2-way shut-off valve with an electrically actuated switching function powered by 24 VDC. This makes the valve ideal not only for new pneumatic-free system concepts, but especially for retrofitting into existing, conventional fluid and dispensing systems, thanks to its compact size and ease of integration.
The WGV-22 is available in two versions: either normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) in its de-energized state.
Thanks to its robust design and the reliable sealing performance of the integrated shut-off valve, the WGV-22 is suitable for use with greases up to NLGI grade 2 and oils of ISO VG classes 10 to 68. The valve is rated for operating pressures of up to 200 bar, ensuring safe and reliable performance in process environments. Switching time is 50 to 60 milliseconds, and the maximum flow rate is 20 liters per minute (based on NLGI grade 2).
The housing complies with IP65 protection class, offering effective protection against dust and water jets – ideal for use in harsh industrial environments.
As part of the Walther MODULAR system, the WGV-22 can be quickly and reliably combined with other functional units using a standardized module connector set.
Overall, the medium switch impresses with its high switching frequency, precise electrical control, and rugged construction. This makes it the ideal choice for controlled media release or the interruption of material flows for maintenance purposes.
