Medium Storage WGC
The Walther Grease Container (WGC) is a self-contained storage unit for viscous media, specifically designed for temporary buffering in dosing and supply systems. It can be both filled and discharged in a pressure-controlled manner, ensuring uninterrupted material supply. Integrated directly into the media-carrying supply line, the pneumatically operated piston container maintains a stable media flow even during changeovers, maintenance work, or media container replacements – reliably protecting your production from costly interruptions.
A two-part piston, integrated within the storage unit, separates the media and pneumatic sides. Any compressed air that may bypass the piston seals is deliberately vented to the outside via a dedicated air outlet, effectively preventing product contamination and ensuring long-term media quality.
With a maximum fill volume of 2000 cm³ and a permitted operating pressure of up to 10 bar, the WGC offers sufficient buffer capacity for typical applications in material delivery and dosing systems.
To monitor the fill level, the WGC is equipped with an integrated displacement measurement system that continuously tracks the piston position. The measured values are provided as an analog electrical output signal and can be used for system monitoring or automated refill scheduling. This ensures you always have a clear overview of remaining volumes and service windows.
As part of the Walther MODULAR system, the Grease Container WGC can be quickly and reliably connected to additional functional units via a standardized module interface. With compact dimensions of 153 × 115 × 457 mm and a G½" female thread, it is ideally suited for integration into new or existing fluid and dosing systems.
