The WKSK cartridge emptying system from Walther Systemtechnik is a compact, robust, and reliable solution for emptying Eurocartridges in industrial dispensing and application environments. It was developed for the reliable, pressure-controlled dispensing of highly viscous media such as adhesives, sealants, silicones, greases, or waxes and is suitable for both manual workstations and use in automated production lines.
The WKSK operates with a closed pneumatic pressure system in which the cartridge base is pressed in a controlled manner towards the outlet. This creates a constant material flow without pressure fluctuations, regardless of the installation position. The integrated pressure regulator with manometer allows for precise adjustment of the medium outlet pressure. With a maximum operating pressure of 10 bar, even materials with a viscosity of up to 25.000 mPas can be processed safely and consistently.
The WKSK is designed as standard for Euro 1 plastic cartridges (Ø 46,2 mm, S15x2,5). With the interchangeable cartridge adapter, Euro 2 aluminum cartridges (Ø 46,8 mm, M15x1) can also be emptied reliably.
For quick, tool-free cartridge changes, simply switch off the device; the system pressure is automatically released. Should the cartridge holder be accidentally opened under pressure, integrated safety vents ensure controlled pressure equalization.
For applications with highly viscous media or vertical mounting, the WKSK is also available in a version with mechanical spring assistance. This provides additional feed force and relieves the pneumatic system. An electronic pre-empty and empty indicator is also available as an option. Two proximity sensors monitor the cartridge's fill level and provide timely notification when a change is required – a clear advantage in continuously automated processes.
As part of the Walther MODULAR Systems allow the WKSK to be implemented via standardized methods. Module connector sets It can be flexibly combined with other functional units. Of particular note is its cascading capability: several emptying units can be connected to form a linear conveying unit to ensure an uninterrupted supply of media.
Thanks to its slim design, the WKSK can be integrated into or onto dosing cells, robot stations, or automated handling systems in a space-saving manner. With dimensions of 102 × 79 × 316 mm (without spring support) and self-contained operation, it is particularly suitable for use in confined spaces and in highly automated production environments.
