The WMAV diaphragm outlet valve is a robust and high-performance metering valve specifically designed for the precise pressure-time metering of reactive, highly viscous media such as polyurethanes, acrylates, epoxies, silicones, and gap fillers. Thanks to its innovative, low-wear design and the option to integrate additional sensors and heaters, the WMAV offers a flexible solution for demanding metering processes in modern production environments.
A key feature of the WMAV is the snuff-back effect, which ensures a clean media break at the dispensing tip, prevents overhanging strands, and thus significantly maximizes application accuracy. The closing movement of the outlet needle creates a slight vacuum that draws the medium back into the dispensing tip, guaranteeing precise, residue-free dosing.
The specially designed membrane prevents ambient air from entering the valve and protects moisture-sensitive media, such as certain adhesives, from premature curing. This ensures reliable operation, prevents blockages, and reduces the risk of valve damage. The complete seal also helps prevent media from leaking into the environment and enables safe handling.
The WMAV's wetted parts are made exclusively of stainless steel (1.4301) combined with PTFE, making the valve highly resistant to abrasive and corrosive media and significantly reducing wear. This choice of materials extends the valve's service life and sustainably lowers maintenance costs. In the event of a pneumatic failure, the valve's closing function activates automatically, preventing uncontrolled leakage of the medium and protecting the production environment from contamination – a crucial contribution to process reliability.
The WMAV operates reliably at pressures up to 150 bar and offers outstanding dosing accuracy thanks to its precise pressure and time control. Expansion options such as needle stroke monitoring or a pressure sensor are available for continuous process monitoring. Additionally, heaters can be integrated to temperature-control the valve and adapt the flow characteristics of the medium to specific process requirements.
The valve is available in three sizes to meet different application requirements:
- Size 1: Height 120,8 mm; Width x Depth 40 mm; Medium inlet G 1/4"; Opening width 2 mm²
- Size 2: Height 120,8 mm; Width x Depth 40 mm; Medium inlet G 1/4"; Opening width 4 mm²
- Size 3: Height 164 mm; Width x Depth 60 mm; Medium inlet G 3/8"; Opening width 8 mm²
With a viscosity range of 50 to 1.000.000 mPas, the WMAV covers a wide spectrum of applications and is suitable for a variety of media and material properties.
