Manual dosing systems

Manual dispensing systems, in the form of hand-held dispensing valves, hand-held dispensing guns, or hand-held applicators, enable the controlled application of adhesives, sealants, greases, oils, pastes, and other technical media at manual assembly and manufacturing workstations. Manual operation allows for flexible adaptation to changing components, application positions, and component geometries. Manual dispensing systems are therefore particularly suitable for rework, highly variable manufacturing processes, and small to medium production runs where automated component or tool guidance is not required or economically viable.

The operator guides the application tool directly to the designated application point and, depending on the design, activates it via a manual trigger, hand switch, or foot switch, for example. The coordination of material supply, valve technology, and nozzle or application head, as well as – depending on the system – a separate dosing unit, enables controlled material dispensing tailored to the medium, desired application quantity, and application geometry.

In addition to manual systems with classic metering valves, versions with spray valves are available. The spray valves used can also be operated as hand-held discharge valves without the need for compressed air. The medium is not atomized, but rather discharged through a nozzle suitable for direct material dispensing.

For ergonomic handling, different handle designs are available depending on the valve type, such as pistol grips or compact grip shells. For longer work cycles or frequently recurring application processes, the hand systems can also be integrated into balancer or cable pull systems. This reduces the tool load carried by the operator and facilitates handling at manual workstations.
