The WMDR-50 material pressure regulator from Walther Systemtechnik is a manually adjustable component for pressure control in the piping systems of conveying and circulating systems. It reliably reduces the material pressure to an adjustable target value in the range of 2 to 50 bar and maintains it constantly, even with highly fluctuating inlet pressures up to 150 bar. In this way, the WMDR-50 reliably protects downstream, pressure-sensitive components such as application valves within fluid and dosing systems from overpressure and ensures controlled media supply.
Pressure regulation is achieved mechanically via a regulating screw that pre-tensions a spring and moves a plunger via a diaphragm. This plunger regulates the valve cross-section according to the balance of forces between the spring force and the output pressure. The combination of diaphragm regulation and guided plunger enables highly precise, leak-proof, and stable pressure regulation, even with pulsating inlet pressures.
An integrated stainless steel filter screen (630 µm) reliably protects the system from coarse contaminants. A digital pressure sensor for pressure monitoring is available as an option. The device is particularly suitable for use with self-lubricating media such as greases and oils and is designed for operation in non-explosive environments.
An additional option is offered by the “SAVE“-Kit – a tamper-proof protection mechanism with a combination lock that prevents unauthorized changes to the set pressure setting.
Thanks to its sophisticated design, high operational reliability and low maintenance requirements, the WMDR-50 is the economical solution for demanding pressure control tasks in industrial applications.
As part of the Walther MODULAR The WMDR-50 system can be quickly and reliably combined with other functional units using a standardized module connector. Its compact design and flexible mounting options also allow for easy integration into new and existing dosing and application systems.
